If you want to play, it's best to lurk on IRC or at least join the steam group to keep an eye on who's playing what. What usually happens is someone mentions wanting to play, and ten minutes later we've got six DLPers, then the randoms start flooding in and/or we decide to crash a public server.

We had 28+_ ppl on last night for well over 6 hours hours I think, was pretty fucking awesome.

We all really hated the single control point rush maps though, it could be over in seconds by a massive scout rush, that's pretty much what we did for like an hour.

I gave this a try today, very well done. It's a training map that makes use of the semi-recently introduced bots for practice. Automatic movement, strafing, launching, shooting, and tons of other things allow you to practice specific skills (airshots or juggling as soldier, reflecting stuff as pyro). It's an excellent way to improve on the technical aspects of your play.

Try updating Steam. That fixed it for me.
