TOMD: The new arrangement of the front page. That's going to take some getting used to. Tentatively I'll say that it looks nice overall.

The forum was a quiver with wanting to know how you felt about it. I'm glad you shared that and let us know so that we can all go to bed now. Zenzao approves.

I will say I was a little surprised to see the Hall Of Shame removed... I remember there were arguments years back about keeping it vs. just wiping it away for the past, but still, there's some great lulz there.

If we happen to bring it back in the final re-org, put it with Sick & Perverse in the Dunce Corner.

As someone that has "new posts" bookmarked, nothing has changed for me at all.

I'm too young for this shit...

TOMD: turned in my Master's thesis today. Let's see how it goes...

With that off my chest, I should hopefully be able to produce something good for the Q3 competition.

    Congratulations.

TOM week is Bar Harbor, Maine, for a conference. Much lobster has been consumed, along with pints of a local IPA named "Lunch."

    You mean BAAAH HABA?

TOMD: In Belgium. Last night's game was hard on them. They're sleeping it off.

After drowning their sorrows in good beer, yes.

Yea. Was in the UK, then France, then here, back to the UK tomorrow. Home next week.

Although I didn't research it, I kind of figured something like that was the reason. Nevertheless, at least give Lambert a spot on your web page. Make it a +Lambert tab on the band members drop down.

Either that, or someday, I think Lambert might move on, and Queen isn't going to find a better fit.

Ugh. Can't do lobster. I've wanted to, but the texture of the meat turns me off every time. That said, I hope you're enjoying it. In the 70s, my father was stationed at Pease AFB. I still remember him being excited about the Lobster.

TOMD: A schizophrenic getting fat, a psychotic student, an agoraphobic office worker, a septic child, a woman that failed suicide and an old man that had a fall all walk into an exam room.

1 hour later, I walk out having now completed 5 years of med school

I may have embarrassed myself at a Harry Potter quiz tonight by going into excessive detail; pretty sure my book club friends are never going to look at me the same way.

Update: we took first place with 46.5 out of 48; lost half a point for saying that Draco's goal in HBP was to kill Dumbledore rather than join the Death Eaters (which...I suppose is technically correct, but come on), but didn't get any bonus for answering the question "How did Voldemort get his body back in GoF" with the full "Bone of the father..." ritual.

I'm always surprised by how many people can completely dominate me in a HP quiz. I may have spent the last 10 years reading fanfiction, but I still can't remember what Mundungus Fletcher had for breakfast. Or who he is. I'm a bit shite at quizzes.

Meanwhile my sister-in-law gleefully cackles while not letting us have turns in trivial pursuit. That game was a mistake.

You were robbed. Draco already had the Dark Mark all through HBP. His task all through the book was to kill Dumbledore, and maybe to open the way for an infiltration by other DEs.

I don't think anyone on DLP would have considered it a particularly taxing quiz, to be fair. "What were Harry's parents names? What are the three unforgivable curses? Who does Harry marry?"

I don't know, that last one sounds rough for a lot of the fandom to answer.

My team got 2nd place in a reading/trivia championship because my team didn't think it was fair that I answer every question on the HP category ten years ago. I'm still a bit salt.
