I absolutely loved Spectre. It was long but I didn't really notice it, there were no points where I thought it was dragging too much. Definitely not boring. It's the plot from a James Bond movie, what are you expecting. There were like two or three jokes in the entire movie, I don't even know what this is talking about.

I think most of the negative comments are likely from those who've loved the Craig films thus far for the ways in which they've been different from the earlier Bond films, especially Skyfall.

Yeah I agree with that. It felt a lot more like a Sean Connery or Roger Moore film than like the other Craig films.

Apparently Spectre doesn't drop in Greece until 12 of November.

    Pure bullshit, right there.

    Same in Australia.

I'm okay though, I'll see Star Wars before all[\i] you motherfuckers (unless you're from New Zealand...).

Saw Spectre yesterday. Enjoyable and very good.

I do agree your tastes will vary. I preferred the solemnity of Skyfall to what they have going on here. Also, I feel the villain was weaker than Skyfall's and Casino Royale's. But, still, very good.

Watched it yesterday. Was not impressed, but by the end I just had a shrug and forgave it for my perception of it's flaws. It was a Bond film, good or bad.

Can't wait for Spectre to drop over here.

Seeing as we don't really have a what are you watching thread, or I've completely missed it, I've been through The Raid movies over the past few days, both are absolutely ridiculous in completely different ways, anyone checked them out?

The Indonesian ones? Yeah, watched the first one. It was intense in a bit of an absurd way, but good fun. If you didn't mind them, go watch Dredd if you haven't already.

Yeah, The sequel had a lot more plot but the action was still just as incredible, if not even more brutal than the first. The main fighters/characters from the sequel all got signed to organize the choreography for The Force Awakens plus act roles which should be interesting to see.

Will check it out, hadn't heard of it before.

Are you for real? Man, the Raid movies are so underrated; happy to hear that they got to play a part in Star Wars. I didn't even mind the retcon with bringing the old villain back -- plot was meh though.

Yeah, I'm envisioning they have to be something combat related, either assassins or Jedi/Sith.

Who else saw Steve Jobs with Fassbender? Personally I find Aaron Sorkin's stuff to be great entertainment in short bursts, but exhausting to binge, which is I very much enjoy Sorkin-written films. This one's a knockout on all levels: writing, direction and acting. Fucking A-grade cinema.

I watched Steve Jobs. 2 recs: Watch it, but wait until it comes out on Redbox.

Emotionally, the movie grabs you. The acting is absolutely superb. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it was essentially done in three demos, and only briefly touched on what Apple was to later become. I can definitely say that it did what it said out to do, and as far as biopics go, it was pretty damned good. I spent too much money on it, which is really my only regret.

In addition to Spectre, Star Wars and the Revenant, add this movie to my must see list.

Wait, Revenant is dropping this year still? For some reason I was convinced it was going to be a 2016 affair. Huh. Leo sooner, even better.

Came back from watching Spectre, and it was terrible. All kinds of terrible. It's eroded all the goodwill it has from me after Skyfall that I can sorta understand why Daniel Craig said he'd slit his wrists if he had to do another one.

See what I mean by this divisive bullshit?

I suspect everyone just can't help being hyperbolic, on both sides. Can't wait to see for myself. Going Thursday.

I loved Spectre, it's much more an old-school Bond film, though I love Casino Royale and Skyfall. It was just the right amount of classic Bond-ness
