Bryan Cranston is Zordon in a new Power Rangers film. I already want a spin-off all about him. ;)

EDIT: A trivia I discovered while reading about this news. While it may not be a complete surprise that Bryan did some voice work for the original show, apparently Billy 'Blue Ranger' Cranston is named after him too.

Nope... I am also quite interested in it though most of my involvement was the tv-series and not the movie (which was okay but didn`t blow my mind - probably because I only watched it after I had seen a ~100 episodes of Stargate).

It's reality. Extrapolated, there's no reason in universe they wouldn't make their shells look like whatever standard of beauty is held the highest.

Bad news Xandrel. Rumours of Dredd's return were greatly exaggerated.

I loved the TV shows, but Roland Emmerich has always been better at making movies with cool concepts rather than movies that are actually good. His plotting is iffy, his characterizations are two-dimensional, and his dialogue is horrible.

I'm interested in seeing how it'll be different to the TV show(s), at least.

This is my main concern. The trailers will be great, same with special effects, but there will be no depth that makes a film great.

Honestly, I'd love to see a reboot of the Stargate TV series. The concept was amazing, and about 10% of the episodes were fantastic. With how TV's changed over the last decade, I think it could do really well. If it was done by a good studio at least.

I'll wait to hear more, but the movie was never as good as what SG1 did afterwards.

Edit: I missed a page somehow.

Hmm, agreed. McConaughey's got that gaunt thing going on, and the outfit is simple in a good way. I can wrap my head around that one.

Also agreed that Elba's is a little underwhelming, but you have to remember with Elba, at least half of the charisma is vocal.

Elba always seemed a little too smooth, a little too polished to be Roland, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt considering he's been extremely good in two things I've loved (The Wire, Luther), and those two characters displayed a good bit of range.

WB doesn't hold back with their trailers and teasers this year at SDCC.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.

Guy Ritchie's version of the legend and fortunately, one thing that could differentiate it from all the others films about it, the director's style, is present. I remain unsure if it will actually be good though.

    Kong: Skull Island.

Unlike the previous one, at the moment there is nothing that makes it unique compared to its predecessor other than making Kong even bigger.

I've got to be honest, if you'd told me I'd enjoy a trailer for Ritchie's King Arthur that much when it was first announced, I'd have called you a liar. It might turn out to be a mess, but it looks intriguing for the moment.

Kinda the same for Kong, but it didn't spark the way the trailer for King Arthur did. Still, at least it's not just another version of the same story, and who doesn't want to see what appears to be a mash up of monster and Vietnam films?

Dunno if it's been linked in some other thread yet, but Wonder Woman's Comic-Con trailer. Looks pretty cool and at the end there's the orgasmic theme that popped up in BvS when she showed up. I hope it's in this movie, it's awesome.

I'd love a third Sherlock Holmes with RDJ, but I'll take King Arthur if Guy Ritchie's directing it.
