Summary: Just a quick drabble inspired by what to me is one of the most grating HP fanfic cliches: that Harry will inevitably remember the goblin who took him to his vault for the first time [and all too often, will see to said goblin's promotion - usually from cart attendant to manager of young Mr. Potter's vast fortunes] (rolls eyes).

Now this is an interesting little drabble - a spoof of that horrible clishe with Harry remembering Griphook's name. Short but sweet.

Funny little drabble; a well-executed spoof of all the nonsense with Harry remembering Griphook's name. It would be nice to see something like this in a longer story.

I've been waiting to read a fic like this. One where for ONCE Harry does not remember Griphook's name like he does in Fanon. Spot on about Harry's crap memory without Hermione. Wish Griphook did something more violent, but I'll give it a 4.5/5.

I thoroughly enjoyed this when I was wandering my way through FFA some time ago and this one actually made enough of an impression for me to remember. 4.5/5

Spoofing stupid clishe is not enough to make funny story. At least for me it was unfunny and uninteresting.

That was interesting to say the least. Found it to be a one time read. Didn't exactly make me laugh out loud, I did smile. That said its a nice and light read.

I thought it was pretty funny myself. I'd rate it a 4.

The idea itself was mildly humorous, but honestly just shoving it in the readers face makes it entirely unfunny. It would be better as one or two lines in a different story.
