I got a black swan. I really don't know how I should feel about this.

I got a rottweiler. Don't particularly like rottweilers but I like dogs and I can see why I got it based on my answers

When you guys say that you 'redid' it - you mean you made a separate account? I don't see a redo option on the site. Don't see a redo option for sorting and wands and whatnot either... which, honestly, I'm fine with that lore-wise, but still.

I'm reasonably happy with 'Dragonfly' as my result for my (mostly) honest answers. But it'd be fun to see what I got for giving deliberate responses with specific characters in mind.

I haven't looked myself, but I suppose it would be interesting to take a little more time to see other answers you could give.

So I used Mailinator to run through this a handful of times. Rather than doing it again with genuine answers for myself I used a fictional character of mine (not a fanfic creation, but one I've had well characterized in my mind for a decade or more - answering for him was easy).

The thing I noticed is that you don't get the same questions every time. You can do the whole thing twice and not get a single question that's the same. I also got pretty different answers each time (a mare, a hedgehog, and a snake).

Since answering for my fictional character was easy since I know him and his motivations, it took until my third try to notice that if you skip answering a question... you get an extra question to make up for it.

I didn't count the questions, but I think... it keeps giving you more and more questions until you've answered X number. Whether or not the ones you skip 'count' in some fashion I don't know. But it seems that you're likely to get something different each time, if only b/c I assume the forms are tied to which questions you get in some fashion.

    /shrug

    Fun regardless.

LOL! I was a bit stereotypical, but still. Yours truly got the Black Mamba.

I wouldn't have minded a bird, say, a swallow or a hawk (not an eagle, they are just tacky :p), but a snake is fine. I like snakes. Only, I'd have preferred a green tree python ...

Edmund Blackadder would have been the greatest Slytherin since Slytherin. Keep that in mind.

So, reddit put together the Patronus quiz with every question. They're not timed, but I made sure to choose within five seconds.

I got a Lynx, one of my favorite animals. So happy.

Did the reddit thing with all the questions. Got a buzzard. What? Well, it's a bird of prey again for me. At least that's pretty clear.

Hmm, sounds legit. Dumbledore's Patronus was a phoenix, and he did have a real one. Also, that definition fits really well with the character. I wonder if Rowling planned this.

I got an adder in both Pottermore and reddit tests. I'm quite happy with it, although I would have liked a cooler snake. A runespoor would have been great.

Huh, I got Dragonfly both times (on Pottermore and with the Reddit thing). In both cases I skipped several questions.

So with this one I got a Thestral. So I went from a Dun Stallion when I accidentally missed a question. To a runespoor when I answered them all. To a Thestral if you give me all the questions and I ignore some of the questions.

Got a Fire-dwelling Salamander, didn't even know that was among the choices. I still prefer my Single-Malt-Drinking Pegasus.

Edit: Wait, I just noticed something, I got a Charmander.

The link got me Thestral, which probably fits better. By no means a favourite, but I see how it might work.

The reddit link also got me a Thestral. I'm fine with that.

My original Pottermore Patronus was a field mouse, then the linked quiz got me a bat.

Flying mouse seems pretty consistent to me.
