    "This post got me J. D. Salinger" got me Raymond Chandler

    "This post got me Raymond Chandler" got me Raymond Chandler.

    I'm not sure how adding "J. D. Salinger" made me cease to write like him.

    edit: Apparently, my singularly retarded piece of fan fiction writes like Ian Flemming.

    Apparently, my new profile on fanfiction is written in H. P. Lovecraft's style.

    I got James Joyce for some original stuff and for something I wrote on the spot,

    It correctly identified the first couple of chapters from Under the Dome by Stephen King and the lyrics for Paint it Black got the same result.

    Also Jim Butcher (from Changes) writes consistently like Raymond Chandler and Dan Brown although the author's note got Shakespeare.

    It also got George Orwell right and if you put random shit in there (like panda 27 times) it seems to come up with Chuck Palahniuk alot, so it's pretty accurate there.

    Most of my fiction writing came out as David Foster Wallace or Stephen King.

    Curiously, I fed some of my old college papers into it, and all my history came out at as Mario Puzo, while my Pol-Sci/Law came out as H.P. Lovecraft.

    I popped in a few excerpts from recent chapters of my story, with the names changed to prevent 'Rowling bias'.

    A bulk of dialog came back as Leo Tolstoy, whereas a descriptive segment that included dialog returned Dan Brown.

    I just wonder if there's a setting for 'please seek remedial guidance in the use of the English language'. Maybe that was the Dan Brown rating.
