Continuing the tradition of dead recommendations engines, I've written my own thing.
    https://github.com/Zeks/flipper/releases/download/1.1.1/flipper_client_1.1.1_windows_x64.7z

    The older threads are:
    https://forums.darklordpotter.net/threads/yet-another-fanfiction-recommendation-engine.29591/
    https://forums.darklordpotter.net/threads/recommendation-engine-for-ff-net.17690/

The idea is similar to the one in the links above:
Feed it your FFN profile url or a bunch of story links and it will crunch on a ton of user favourite lists to find people with similar tastes and suggest stuff for you. By default only profile url method is visible, but pressing "More" opens up detailed controls and editbox for HTTPS story links.

The thing is a windows 64 bit executable, but I've been told the previous version of my app worked with Wine without much hassle so you might want to try that if you're on a Mac. On windows it requries MSVC2015 redistributable to be installed which you can get there: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145
but you probbaly already have it on your PC if you game on it.

Though the idea (as I said) is similar, a couple things make my app quite different from the previous engines:

    1) You can exclude entire fandoms from generated recommendation list
    2) You can exclude individual fics from recommendation list for further searches
    3) The list isn't cut in any way. If you have seen the first 1000 of fics on it, simply navigate further or exclude them with upvotes/downvotes.
    4) You can do searches on a generated list.
    5) Most importantly: "Random fics" checkbox allows random navigaton of recommendation list. A lot of (usually smaller) stuff is nowhere near the top of recommendations so random walks tend to produce little know gems for you to read (it's how I, personally, use the thing).

    Feedback is welcome at: https://discord.gg/8RNtNxc
I will probably see it here anyway, but on discord it will be noticed much faster :)

P.S. The UI is more or less intuitive but here are some basic tutorials:
general usage in basic scenario making lists with story urls instead of a profile rl cleaning up the list by tagging

Updated OP to have the newest link for those that use this. --Zombie

Flipper has been updated with a genre detector. It will try to imply actual genre of the fic from the user favourites statistics it has. It looks like this:

If there is no icon next to the genre, Flipper doesn't have enough stats to estimate.

Mode is activated by double clicking on any of the "Genre" sections in the fic list.

    Updated client: https://github.com/Zeks/flipper/releases/download/client_0.9.3.1/flipper_client_0.9.3.1.7z
    --- Post automerged ---
Treat this as an experimental feature and think of it as

if I like genre X, there is a chance of me liking this fic that has an autodetected genre of X even if that genre isn't even stated in the author's genre set

    or

if I don't like genre X, there is a chance of me not liking this fic even if that genre isn't even stated in the author's genre set but it's autodetected
