This game has been huge for a while, but I have not seen any discussion of it on DLP. I know, at least, Sauce and I have been having a lot of fun playing Duos/Squads together.

As for the gameplay, it's pretty fun. The game's building mechanic is unique, and I am sure everyone is familiar with the Battle Royale genre.

So, who plays? What do you guys think of the game? If you want to play Duos/Squads PM me.

I've tried it a few times, and have been fairly amused, but it's made me realize that I think I've found the point where you look at yourself and think "man, shooters are for younger people." :(

I mean if anything, get on there and scream obscenities about Seyllian's mom. That's the only reason I'd play :)

I'm shit at this game but it's a pretty good detilter from league so I take it for what it is.

Game is definitely a fad. I'm just annoyed that there's likely going to be a bunch of games in the future trying to capitalize off it.

I've had a fair bit of fun playing with Seyllian and a few others. BP level 60 in two weeks.

I managed to withhold the mandatory Fortnite<Pubg comment up until this point!

But yeah, Battle Royale is the new Team Deathmatch/Search and Destroy.

I play mobile which is clunky but makes winning easier.

I doubt it's a fad, it will level out but I can see this lasting as long as LoL.

So season 4 has begun, complete with the destruction of Dusty Depot and surrounding factories. There are new mechanics, new skins, new map locations, and a ton of hype and excitement. Now is the perfect time to get into it if you have the slightest bit of interest.

Today a Limited Time Mode began where you get to play as Thanos after the Infinity Gauntlet falls from the sky in a meteorite. 300 shields, 700 health, shields refill on kills. I want to play so badly that I can taste it, but it's finals week. It hurts to live.

I've watched Thanoe mode; it looks fun as hell at least for a while.

A lot of my friends dislike it, but I really enjoy it. As fun as running simulator 2016 can be, having everyone in a single zone in a massive battle is a blast. Shorter rounds, nonstop action, good loot.

    Feel free to add me.

I think the game is going to last for the next 2-3 years at least. It's grown too large to just fade and the infrastructure for esports competitions is being built and put in place so we are going to see a new game rise up as the next esport. I can see Fortnite being similar to league in creating a new industry for the game in esports, betting, amateur competitions, etc.
TLDR: My opinion of course: Game will most likely stay and be very popular for a while.

Honestly, I don't see how e-sports extend a games life.

Starcraft survived for twenty years on its esports yannys. It keeps the game in the public view so to speak, so it gets a constant influx of new players.

It also makes it so that there is always a fresh pool of talent and young people who will continue to play the game to try and join the pro scene much like what happened in Leagues case. The difference in Fortnite it seems to me is that Fortnite is already expanding much quicker than League and more people will end up playing it meaning it could last for a much longer time. And seeing as how League has lasted for 8 years already I can see Fortnite lasting for a long time.
PS Sorry about my awful grammar, I'm writing this while clearly inebriated
