Priests weren’t strong enough yet.
That's actually a rather interesting weapon. It's definitely got some counter-play to Ooze. Guess we'll have to see which of the weapons see play and how popular they are to determine if oozes are gonna be everywhere. As long as any of the top 2-3 decks have a legendary weapon other than that one and maybe one of the ones we haven't seen yet, I'm still convinced there's gonna be oozes in play commonly enough to render them useless, but that card at least hints at Blizzard being aware of the problem, unlike all the rest of the weapons thus far.
Is that powerful? I dunno. I think I'd rather run silence or sap effects than weapon removal if it is.
I ask because I've actually played a lot of handbuff recently (paladin) and it just isn't that good. Out valued so hard in this meta.
Oh yeah, for Val'anyr you'd definitely want silence over weapon removal. It's basically immune to oozes, as long as the player has a minion in hand.
As for how good it is, eh. Handbuffs have never been great. The thing with this one, though, is that this is a nigh-limitless chain of weapons and handbuffs, assuming it doesn't get silenced, and you can get a lot of value out of that. It's definitely better than the existing handbuff cards, but at a glance, it looks like it'd only work "well" in a relatively slow Paladin deck (midrange at the fastest), and it's up in the air whether or not that will be a thing in the K&C meta.
Honestly though, what I'm really curious about is how this would behave if the buff from the weapon landed on Tyrion. Would Val'anyr overwrite Ashbringer, or would it go the other way and give you an immediate handbuff along with your shiny new Ashbringer?
The final three Spellstones have come out, here is the page showing all 9 together.
Lol the Rogue one. 5m remove 3 minions.
Without having seen their weapon yet, they've gained a lot of defensive /control tools. Wonder if it's enough. God I hope so.
If nothing else, I could see Mill rogue making a comeback. Especially with that neutral "swap your decks" legendary.
Will the Hunter Spellstone be enough to make Secret Hunter work?
I'll try the deck at the very least.
Secret Hunter won't be viable until Patches rotates out of the game. He ruins most of Hunter's secrets on his own, and the ones he doesn't aren't really good.
Maybe. I'm curious how secrets will work in big hunter now given you don't really want to play many small beasts in that deck.
Tangent here, anyone else get really annoyed by card reviews? Specifically the inclination to immediately call cards trash.
'2m Rogue secret? Why would I play that when I could kill people with Keleseth?'
Oh, you mean the card you also called trash in the last set of reviews?
On the plus side, you can really ponpoint the real deck building geniuses because of that. Got a real respect for J4ckie after i started watching reviews. He immediately starts thinking of new decks when he sees new cards rather than how they fit in current ones.
Pretty sure he was one of the first playing tempo prince rogue too...
Btw, you guys know what you'll be playing d1? I think I'm gonna be doing some Sonya + Patches/Boar miracle quest :3
Wait is that all the cards now?
Did they actually not add any deathrattle cards for priest? Damn quest has been sitting unused in my collection for ages now
There's a reveal soon, then rest of the cards with day9 and brode Monday.

ROFL, you were saying?
Hahaha. Now to go out and use my powers for evil.
With this, I could see Quest Priest + DK and Raza actually work. Fun times.

T1 Quest, T2 Loot hoarder, T3 Call. That's 3 deathrattle minions and triple card draw. I want it.
Sadly you can't get two copies of one minion.
Bit sad, but it's still good. I actually tried a priest deck with all the legendary stuff on the release of Frozen Throne xpac, and it /almost/ worked then though, so with just a couple extra options it'll finally be viable for the few months until 2016 rotates out.
YES YES YES YES YESYESYESYESYES MOTHERFUCKER YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
Well that’s a pretty amazing.
Always 1 mana, gives Rogue a thematic heal too. It specifically says 'enchantments' so I'm guessing minions buffs are permanent too. So brilliant.
Imagine Rogue had Forge of Souls.
Out of curiosity though, does Rummaging Kobold return a second to your hand? I'm guessing not and it works more like Malorne.
I started climbing standard rank ladder this morning with Midrange Hunter. My first three opponents were Jade Druid & back-to-back Evolve Shaman.
I beat Jade & lost to the first Evolve Shaman badly. The second Evolve Shaman however was not having a good morning against me at all. They got Patches after the mulligan, Evolved into one 1-health minion, three 2-health minions & one 3-health minion while I had Rexxar in my hand along with three 1-attack doggies on the board. Finally, they Devolved my Spellbreaker into Bearshark while I had Houndmaster & Kill Command in my hand. They conceded before I could attack with Bearshark.
