That's the only great one that I can think of that aren't time travel.

There are a few awesome Sasuke-centric time travel stories, but the retarded authors take forever to update. If ya would like to know those, I've posted them over on the ADD forums at some point.

Ya might have to wait until Monday tho, it's being upgraded tomorrow.

 

Somewhat decent-ish, but Ino's dad hating Naruto for no given reason, followed by both Ino and her mother Loving him again for no discernible reason... well, it gets old pretty fast.

Ikura stealing the shadow clone from the forbidden scroll for him as a graduation gift was pretty weak and very Deus Ex, as was Saratobi being lord of the rats, As was Naruto walking into an armaments store (conveniently owned by Ino's grandmother) and being 'mysteriously drawn' to a set of intelligent Uber weapons from an extinct village which he is promptly gifted with... and naturally within two days Ino has fallen in love with him. Something her mother Immediately knows about and supports...

Nope sorry, this fic just isn't cutting it for me.

Edit: I got to chapter9 and... ya... I'm just going to stop here. It has some interesting concepts, but they are poorly executed, and the whole thing feels rushed. Feel free to try again though.

 

I agree. While I normally like to read Naruto/Ino stories (to the extent that I care about pairings), there was nothing here--just insta-attraction. The fic in general had too much unexplained stuff to be enjoyable. (I don't like stories where I'm going "wtf?" throughout with no hope of my questions being answered).

I'm impressed you made it to chapter 9, Manatheron. I bailed far earlier.

Thanks. When it's a recommendation that starts poorly I usually assume the author gets better as it goes along. There comes a point though when enough is enough.

 

What do you know? Maybe HE Gray saw your post.. Cause he updated today. I'm off to read it again to refresh my memory, but from what I recall it was one of the better Sasuke-centric stories.

Edit: Two steps back is... Acceptable. A little slow moving, but It's got a very strong foundation to build off of, and the action appears to be picking up. I'd go so far as to call it an above average even. But it's definitely a young fic yet.

 

In ''The Gambit', The thing that had me hook was when he got into the dead empire back story and the bijou history as well as the ''6 great bloodline'' of that old empire... but I agree that nothing worthy till the book 2 start sadly...

Summary sucks. The story is better than the summary and first few chapters make it appear.

Which by itself would lower the rating, but actually try reading stuff before ya rate it. Unless everyone hates it.

 

Very true, the story is good. It is slow. Realistic and has has a good plot. Sasuke is blind in this fic which is awesome. He is a sad and pathetic old man.

On a side note I can just about see Sandiame finding a 'spare' eye for him. Quite possibly from Itachi which would be fucking Hilariously Ironic.
