Damn. I'm kind of ashamed of myself for admitting to liking Inuyasha, but I need to find some good fanfiction for it.

Title: Tales From the House of the Moon
    Author: Resmiranda
    Rating: M
    Pairing: Sesshomaru/Kagome
    Summary;
Kagome, now in college, discovers the tale of Sesshomaru and Rin. Grief can be a prison, but the bonds of love are not easily broken. What is the truth behind fairytales? [SessKag] [COMPLETE]

Link: Tales from the House of the Moon

Summary isn't so good, but she is a published author so give it a shot. To expand: near-perfect grammar, great characterization and an amazingly original plot. And I love her writing style. 5/5

P.S. I grew up watching Dragonball, I like girls, so is it so strange for me to like Dragonball Z for girls?

    Edit: Thanks to Vash.

If your into crossovers there is A Slayer of Nightmares and its sequel Unseelie
They are Buffy crossovers and I seem to remember they are quite good, though don't quote me on that I haven't read inuyasha fanfic in a long while.

Those are the only ones that come to mind though I think there was one on fanfiction.net called 'coffee shop girl' if your into AU, it was SessKag and caught my attention a while back.

Might I suggest editing this into Library format, so that it can be moved to the Other Fandom For Review section. >_>

Buddy, I have no idea what you are trying to say. What does this have to do with Inuyasha?

Edit: DBZ for girls? You mean Yaoi?

He's referencing the vgcats comic below, I believe.

And yea, Inuyasha really is Dragonball Z for girls.

Yeah? Well, guess what? It's getting a new anime series. So more squealing fangirls... potentially the ones from Twilight fandom.

Do you know if they continuing on the old series or starting again?

I don't know, but I think it is suppose to be a continuation, however don't quote me on that.

It helps, otherwise there's no background for the romance.

Not really - I read this way before I watched Inuyasha. In fact, it was what got me into it in the first place. But sincostan is right, it helps with the back-story - though I guess you could just read a wikipedia article (back-story), or watch only a couple of episodes (to get a feel for the characters).
